God

God IS Love
God wants the best for us
God loves us
God gave us life
God gave us freewill
God wants us to be happy
God is jealous
God wants us to love Him
God wants us to do His will
God wants us to use our "freewill", pleasing Him
God is gonna punish us for misusing our "freewill"
If we don't use our "freewill" as God pleases, then we are gonna get pwnd
Now how "free" is this "freewill"?
We shouldn't question His decisions and sense of justice, right?
Just a thought...

Funnily enough, i've just completed a post titled 'This goes out to all speakers of Christianese - Delay is not Denial'. I know that sounds like a plug for my blog, but really it isn't. My point is, one of the things i cover is the issue of questioning God. I believe that open and honest dialogue is necessary for any relationship to succeed. So if i have questions, i ask them of him. He knows them anyway, even if you don't voice them..

Yeah we tend to question God when we think he is not listening.Recently I have come to the conclusion that maybe God is not telling me No but he is telling me Not yet.I hope it works for me though and i dont go back to questioning him.
Nice post!

Sweetie,
I don't agree that God is jealous. Jealousy is a trait of lesser beings and the mind and comes about when one does not feel he/she/it can attain whatever it's jealous of has.
God created all and thus cannot be jealous of HIS creation.

Have a lovely evening

@Catty: Hon, Exodus 20 V. 5 says He is a Jealous God. He doesn't tolerate rivalry. He's whooped the Israelis' butts one too many times in history. And I don't see any reason to not think that has changed with Him! Does it bother you that he is!? Of course, again, this doesn't bring into question his Supremacy, Holiness, Perfection, etc etc. It's just, what it is!

Okay, this is the test of our "relationship".
I am not a christian so I tend to see God as only one thing: LOVE. Every other definition is man's attempt to comprehend his magnitude.

@Catty: I'd give it to you about not being Christian, and maybe little hint of some Judaic background. But yeah, , talking of His love, that IS a general concept of God's nature. So at least there's a middle ground here! :)

@Femme: Good question, it depends on WHERE u r coming from. But one fact is sure, however us humans try to rationalize and comprehend it, there is One Supreme Being, who is responsible for all of creation, as we know it.

I am always thinking of God.
there are things I am chewing on... and I reject the idea that God is Contratictory although I find it so sometimes..
@ Catwaq: about God being jeealous..

asking love not to be jealous, is like asking light to cast no shadows

but then someone define jealousy for me
